(Akriti's POV)
I can't believe it's happening.... My hand in his hands.
I slowly lifted my eyes to look at the person in front of me who was not looking less than a Prince which he already was.
I have heard my father praising him alot whenever he gets the chance... But was it really true?... I don't really know anything about him except his name and that he is a Prince of Rajput.
............................................................................
Akriti looked towards her parents who was doing Kanyadaan, she didn't realise when a tear escaped from her eyes as she looked down hiding them.
Those tears felt on Virat's hand which were holding hers as he looked towards her who was probably crying while looking down.
............................................................................
( Virat's POV )
I was looking at her from the corner of my eyes and i realised..... She is beautiful.
Simple.... That would be a perfect word for her. Even though her face was covered by a long veil, i can tell that she is more beautiful than in the picture i saw. Those tears which were continuously flowing from her beautiful big eyes down her cheeks were shining like stars, those small trembling hands which were above mine were so soft and light like a feather... I didn't realize that i was admiring her even though i don't want to.
My thoughts were Interrupted when pandit ji started chanting mantras.

"Ab var vadhu ki maang mein sindoor bhare"
(Now fill the bride's forehead with vermilion) - a traditional Hindu wedding ritual where the groom applies sindoor to the bride's forehead, symbolizing their marriage and her new status as a married woman.
Ritika held up Akriti's veil and adjusted her maangtika as more tears left her eyes when her hairline got filled with Vermillion by the man beside her. Virat tied the nuptical chain around her neck while glancing at her with his famous expressionless face.
"Vivaah sampaan hua aaj se aap dono pati patni hai"
(The wedding ceremony is complete, from this day on, you two are husband and wife!)
Ritika, who was a crying mess looking at her sister getting married, holding the hem of her saree's pallu she was trying to wipe her tears while sniffing.
When pandit ji asked to take the blessings of the elders, Ritika walked towards her sister in order to help her get up but stopped mid way when she saw her sister's husband who was her jijaji now, extended his hand to help her stand up. She looked at his hand and hesitantly held it. They walked towards their elders to take the blessings.

"Laiye jiju....humare Joote churai ka shagun nikaliye"
(Yes brother in law.....now give my gift of stealing the shoes)
Ritika said standing in front of the newly weds who were basically her di and jiju while putting her one hand on her waist looking at Virat with her wiggling eyebrows and a cheeky smile.
"Kaisa shagun mohatarama?.. "
(What kind of gift madam?)
Everyone looked towards the owner of the voice which was none other than Jai who come and stand beside his brother with crossed arms while looking at Ritika with his famous squinted eyes.
"Pehle aap joote toh laiye.. Phir sochenge hum shagun ka"
(First you bring the shoes... Then we will think about the gift)
"Aap kyu sochenge? Hum aapse thode hi maang rahe! Hum to apne jija ji se maang rahe hai ...aur waise bhi uncle aap hote kaun hai ek jija aur saali ke beech mein bolne wale?"
(Why would you think about it? I am not asking it from you! I am asking my brother in law for it... And by the way uncle, who are you to intervene between a brother in law and sister in law?)
Ritika fire backed him with the same glare as he was giving her while Jai closed his eyes in frustration cursing when that same word hit his ear for the third time.
"Uncle?... Jai bhaiya aap uncle bann gaye aur hume bataya bhi nahi?"
(Uncle?... Jai bhai, you've become an uncle and didn't even tell us?)
Advik laughed holding his stomach when he heard his bhaiya being called "uncle" While Jai was holding in his anger.
Akriti who was standing beside her husband listening to her sister's deeds, a quick smile took over her lips.
Ritika, who was looking at them weirdly in confusion got a flick on her head by her mother.
"Pagal ladki ye kya bole jaa rahi ho tum?... Wo damaad ji ke chote bhai hai yaani tumhari didi ke devar.. Samjhi?"
(Crazy girl, what are you saying?... He's the younger brother of the groom, which means he's your sister's brother-in-law... Got it?)
Her mother whisper yelled at her and Ritika eyes widen after hearing the information about that so called "uncle".
"Kya?!!... Bhai?!!....... Par shakal to inki mithai wale jaiswaal uncle se milti hai... Ab isme meri kya galti agar maine uncle bola toh?"
(What?! Brother?!... But he look just like that sweet shop owner uncle... And what's my fault if I called him uncle, anyway?)
Ritika thought glaring at that "uncle" Who was now her sister's devar.
"Rukiye bhai"
(Hold up brother)
Virat who was ready to give the shagun but was stopped by his brother's voice and looked towards him with frown.
"Ye lijiye apke joote"
(Here, take your shoes)
Jai bent down and kept his brother's shoes in front of him and looked at Ritika with smirk playing on his lips.
"Huh?.... Joote to humare pass hai?"
(Huh?.... But the shoes are still with me?)
Ritika said with a confused look holding the shoes in her hands.
"Ji haa mohatarama... Bilkul hai apke pass... Par wo apke jija ke nahi balki unke bhai ke hai... Yaani Jai Pratap Singh Rajput ke"
(Yes, of course...They're definitely with you...But they don't belong to your brother-in-law, but to his brother...Meaning Jai Pratap Singh Rajput's)
Ritika was shocked when she get to know that she stole the wrong person's shoes.
"Isiliye kaha jata hai ki daka daalne se pehle uss jagah ke baare mein acche se chaan been kar leni chahiye...... But it's look like you have got a little brain... Just like you yourself...little girl"
(That's why they say that before robbing a place, you should scout it out thoroughly... But it seems like you have a small brain... Just like you yourself...little girl)
Jai said while wearing his shoes after taking it from her hands with a victory smirk on his face while Ritika was biting her lips in anger looking at his face.
"Jai....Bechari bacchi ko kyu sata rahe hai...Ye to rasm hai"
(Jai....Why are you teasing the poor girl...this is just a custom)
Queen interrupted while patting Ritika's head who was having an angry pout on her lips while her hands were crossed over her chest.
Jai looked at her and thought for a minute before saying.
"Haa maa.. Aap sahi keh rahi hai... Hum faltu mein hi ek choti bacchi ko sata rahe hai...."
(Yes maa.. You're right... I am unnecessarily teasing a kid....)
"Bhai aap de dijiye shagun.. Joote churai ka.... Bhale hi wo joote apke bhai ke hi kyu na ho... "
(Bhai give her the gift for stealing the shoes.... Even if the shoes belong to your own brother, it's all just a part of the tradition...)
He said as he turned to Virat with not so serious expression while Ritika was cursing him with many beautiful words in her mind.
"Virat ab aap kya soch rahe hai.. Dijiye shagun apni saali ko"
(What are you thinking now Virat.. Give the shagun to your sister in law)
Their mother said as Virat looked at Ritika with a light smile on his lips.
"Bataiye... Kya chahiye apko?"
(Tell me... What do you want?)
Virat asked in his usual deep voice while gesturing Jai to give his check.
"Jo aap chahe jiju.... Waise bhi humari saari mehnat to apke bhai ne barbaad kar di"
(Whatever you want jiju... Anyway, your brother has already ruined all my hard work)
Ritika said with an angry pout on her lips as Jai glared at her.
"Ye lijiye apka shagun..... "
(Here, take this as your gift)
Ritika looked at that cheque on Virat's hand with his signature but no amount was filled...... "A blind cheque? "... That's what her mind screamed.
" Jiju ye-"
(Jiju this-)
"Apko jaisa sahi lage utne aap bhar lijiyega..."
(Fill in the amount according to your wish...)
Akriti was looking at her husband being amused. She knew that they were rich but this much... How can he just hand a blind cheque to her....
"Nahi jiju... Mai ye nahi le sakti... Maaf kariyega...."
(No jiju... I can't take this...)
"Kyu?"
(Why?)
Ritika was looking down playing with her pallu not being able to answer, she lifted up her eyes to look at her sister who was already staring at her with soft gaze.
Virat noticed her gaze towards her sister.
"Rakh lijiye.... Ab Apke jija itne to kaabil hai hi ki wo apni saali ki ek choti si khwaaish poori kar sake"
(Keep it.... Your brother in law is capable enough to fulfill even a small wish of his sister in law)
His mother smiled looking at this side of her son while Ritika who was looking at him in hesitation but as she diverted her gaze to her sister she felt relaxed as she nod her head. Ritika smiled brightly.
***************************************
More tears flow down her cheeks as she wiped it with the back of her hand while sniffing which absolutely didn't go unnoticed by her husband who was sitting beside her looking outside the window.
He slowly extended a handkerchief towards her at which she looked but take it as it was needed to her for now.
Soon they arrived at The Rajput palace or her new home perhaps...
The queen who was her mother in law now... Did aarti with a bright smile on her face.
"Akriti beta... Ab aap apne daahine pair se kalash ko gira kar humare ghar aur humare virat ki zindagi mein pravesh kariye"
(Akriti beta... Now gently kick the kalash with your right foot and enter our home and Virat's life)
She said while gesturing her to do the ritual.
She slowly put her right feet inside the palace entering into a life which may bring new responsibilities.. New relations.. And a new journey.
